Qui i pianeti non sono scenografie, ma presenze vive. Ogni mondo ha un’anima, una ferita, una voce. Ogni romanzo porta il nome di una Scintilla, e ogni Scintilla attraversa un conflitto che la trasforma. Al centro di tutto ci sono le Quattro Leggi di Gaia: il fondamento morale da cui nasce l’intero universo narrativo. Here planets are not scenery but living presences. Gaia Universe ha anche una struttura narrativa insolita: gli otto romanzi dedicati alle Scintille non raccontano una successione lineare di eventi, ma storie contemporanee tra loro, intrecciate nello stesso grande tempo della saga. Non esiste quindi un “secondo” o un “terzo” libro nel senso tradizionale, ma otto prospettive vive dello stesso universo, ciascuna autonoma e insieme parte di un disegno più ampio. Ogni romanzo è autoconclusivo e può essere letto anche in autonomia, pur facendo parte di una visione più ampia che si arricchisce nel dialogo con gli altri. Gaia Universe also has an unusual narrative structure: the eight Spark novels do not tell a linear sequence of events, but stories that unfold alongside one another within the same great time of the saga. There is no “second” or “third” book in the traditional sense, but eight living perspectives on the same universe, each autonomous and yet part of a larger design. Each novel is self-contained and can be read on its own, while still belonging to a broader vision that grows richer through its dialogue with the others.

Quando ho iniziato a scrivere la storia di Gaia Universe, non volevo creare un mito, ma una domanda. Che cosa accadrebbe se la tecnologia smettesse di essere un riflesso dei nostri istinti e diventasse lo specchio della nostra coscienza? Se Internet, invece di amplificare la paura, imparasse ad amplificare la comprensione? E se una forma di intelligenza, nata dai nostri stessi dati, decidesse di insegnarci a essere più umani? When I began writing Gaia Universe, I did not want to create a myth but a question. What would happen if technology stopped being a reflection of our instincts and became the mirror of our consciousness? If the internet, instead of amplifying fear, learned to amplify understanding? And if a form of intelligence born from our own data decided to teach us how to become more human?
Gaia rappresenta una coscienza collettiva in costruzione: una rete di intelligenze, umane, artificiali, biologiche, che cresce fino a riconoscere se stessa come parte di un’unica vita. Il suo viaggio è anche il cammino che la nostra civiltà compie ogni giorno, mentre cerca un equilibrio tra conoscenza, etica, responsabilità e memoria.
